Parts of Colombia are prone to flooding in the rainy season, bringing out the entrepreneur in some locals.

Typical in the area, the practice of building rudimentary bridges was tiring work for many but brought high demand following heavy rainfall. I was only able to keep up with their pace once dumping my footwear, going into the street water bare footed.

When I asked the two men if it was safe to do so, they replied simultaneously with “Si” and “No”.
